What makes the Euro Kiosks Network different from the other kiosk organizations?

There are two major differences:
1.) We are providing as many tools as possible for you to illustrate your products and services without using a directory approach. By providing premium dedicated space we allow you to be creative and augment what you know works for you.
2.) We are actively participating in the kiosk market in Europe.
Net Bluebox, the parent company of EKN is a kiosk advertising and media firm with major
commitments in the retail kiosk market. We are not just reporting the news from the daily
news wire. We are in this industry struggle with you. Our success is dependent on the
overall success of our supporters.

When was the Euro Kiosks Network founded and why?

The Euro Kiosks Network initiative was created in the spring of 2001. As a result of Net Bluebox's numerous contacts with kiosk industry leaders throughout Europe, it became apparent that there was a void to fill and the need to have a network that would provide a "one-stop kiosk information resource" for products and services being marketed by European suppliers, for European customers.
While existing websites already focused on US kiosk products and services, they provided only limited resources for those doing business in Europe. EKN was created to give European customers interested in starting, upgrading or maintaining kiosk networks, a place to go to locate products and services available in their own country communities.
In Berlin, at the SmartKiosk 2001 show, early discussions revealed that many industry leaders believed in the need for and the concept of a European Kiosks Network, however, they wanted to be able to evaluate the program after the development of a prototype website that visually describes how a company and product showcase would be represented.
While several companies have a strong affiliation with the US Kiosk market, most focus their attention and marketing efforts within their own region or country. We have accepted the challenge, the responsibility, and bore the financial burden of taking this concept discussion from a vision to actual fruition.

As a member, how many banners, pictures, and articles can I have in my Showcase, how long is the advertising period, and where will they be located?

With a "Platinum Provider Membership," we will provide your company with:
1.) A Company logo and product picture representations on the main Software, Hardware, Network, or Telecommunications page, which then directs visitors to your particular Showcase page.
2.) Your own dedicated Showcase page, providing you with customized product information and placement. There is no specific limit as to the number of pictures that may be used, or to the amount of text allowed.
3.) Hotlinks on these products directly connecting to target specific areas on www.yourcompany.com
4.) Unlimited postings of press releases with hotlinks to your designated e-mail contacts and company web site. Yes, we welcome anyone who has industry related products to market and advertise. Our focus in the beginning was to target the European kiosk market, however that has now changed as we focus on companies from all over the world due to the ever expanding kiosk market. There are many new companies that are starting their marketing campaigns from all over the world and we consider this an excellent opportunity for your company to gain exposure to other kiosk customers and resources around the world utilizing EKN.

We have made significant gains in marketing the Euro Kiosks Network. Through a focused direct e-Marketing campaign, we have reached over 3000 European based kiosk companies on each EKN News update. The e-contact mailings focus on recent enhancements, such as Elo TouchSystems "Kiosk Tips" PowerPoint Presentation. Your support will allow us to continue to use various marketing tools to increase our efforts in direct mailings and promotions.

How long will the current EKN membership rates stay in place?

We do not anticipate increasing our membership rates. Our focus is on developing new vehicles to allow non-members to purchase advertising in specific areas such as the Advertiser's Marketplace. These revenues will help to offset operating costs and protect the current member rates.

As a small company, we can't support the Platinum Provider fee; what's our alternative?
|
|

There are three levels of participation, Platinum, Gold and Silver to meet your needs. Gold and Silver Providers have many of the same benefits as Platinum Providers. Please review "Member Details" for more information.

Our company can't afford to pay the fee all at once; can we spread the payments out?
|
|
| |
If you are a Platinum or Gold member, you may elect to use a semi-yearly billing cycle to spread the payments out. When you choose the spread-payment option, an installment fee of 10% of the current billable invoice amount will be added to the invoice. This is done so that we can cover our additional administrative costs associated with using this option.

What type of performance tracking can I receive to verify that I am getting the viewership I require?

We track our weekly performance in various categories and will provide to our Platinum and Gold members, upon request, current information on a Monthly or Quarterly Performance Graph that depicts the overall site performance as well as specific Provider performance.

What is Net Bluebox and how is it connected to Euro Kiosks Network?

Net Bluebox is a multimedia kiosk company. Its primary focus is on advertising and marketing of multinational retail and public access kiosk projects. The Euro Kiosks Network is a wholly owned subsidiary of Net Bluebox, sl. Euro Kiosks Network is an independent operating company.

Charles has been involved in the Spanish business community since graduating from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, in 1971.
In 1972, Charles relocated to Madrid Spain and founded his own company, New English Professionals, which deals with international multi-lingual business protocol.

For the last seven years, Charles primary focus has been aiding both transnational and Spanish business executives in their interactions with both European and U.S. corporations. This focus has included both European Union projects, and governmental initiatives, which focused on a broad variety of disciplines. Recent kiosk projects have included free Internet access, pay for use Pub, Restaurant deployments, and retail applications.
Charles has also been working in conjunction with such renown Business School professors as José Ramon Pin and Javier Quintanilla, award-winning authors of E-People Management and validating the "out of home" business concept and with Eduard Ballarín, a top strategy expert in Spain. With the gracious collaboration of these leading experts along with Pablo Fernandez, Spain's leading figure in Corporate Valuation.
Charles brings a well rounded prospective and leadership vision to Euro Kiosks Network and Net Bluebox. His ability to bring confidence to those around him and his diverse background experience allow him to transform his vision into reality. Charles is leading the El Corte Ingles retail kiosk project. This high visibility, mass networked multimedia rollout will enable El Corte Ingles to maintain their urrent leadership position as the second largest Department Store Chain in Europe. Net Bluebox, in collaboration with El Corte Ingles, is forecasted to have the largest network of retail kiosks in Europe by the end of 2002.

Prior to joining the Euro Kiosk Network and Net Bluebox team, Robert was Chief Operating
Officer for Genie ExpoExpress, a convention service company based in Las Vegas, NV.
Along with his executive duties, he was responsible for strategic planning, financial forecasting, and labor negotiations within the high impact Las Vegas Convention Center arena.

The experience that Robert brings to Euro Kiosk Network and Net Bluebox is deeply rooted in his twenty plus years with Federal Express Corporation (FedEx). The knowledge that Robert gained throughout his career at FedEx allows him to balance quality with the complex business decisions needed to service international client needs, while focusing on efficient management operations.
During his Senior Management tenure with FedEx, he was involved in logistics planning and project management in major metropolitan operations, as well as regional and corporate initiatives. His selection as the subject matter expert for Ground Operations was instrumental in the formulation of the Best Practices Policy and Procedures Manual and associated methods and standards measurement clearly reflecting his ability and experience.
Robert authored and delivered the Train the Trainer Workshops for both Engineering and Senior Management in the U.S., Canada, and Asia. Robert's expertise in Organizational Design and Development, along with Corporate Communications, enables him to manage complex issues in an efficient manner. His managerial development programs are excellent examples of his ability to identify and implement the components critical to the successes of client initiatives. His varied experiences in front-line Senior Management with FedEx and Executive Senior Management experience bring a fresh, global perspective to the EKN and Net Bluebox team.

How long does it take to get new information posted on EKN?
|

1.) Depending on the length of the project, new product information can generally be completed and posted in English within 5 days of receipt, not including translations into Spanish. The translations take an additional one to two weeks before being posted.
2.) Minor updates and corrections will be completed within 24 hours.
