Netspot Server est une plate-forme d'administration en ligne destinée à organiser la gestion de "parcs de navigateurs E-Spot" au moyen de leur module intégré Cerbère. Piloté à distance par Netspot, celui-ci administre et surveille la configuration du navigateur auquel il est associé.
Cette plate-forme permet notamment d'obtenir des informations régulières sur l’état de fonctionnement des différents postes et autorise si nécessaire la mise à jour à distance de la configuration de chaque E-Spot.
La visualisation des informations est assurée au travers d’une interface (tableau de bord) consultable sur internet à partir d’un navigateur Web standard. La modification de configuration est possible depuis le même navigateur.
Netspot permet également de remonter de multiples alarmes émanant de chaque terminal E-Spot via le Cerbère ainsi que les informations sur les états des terminaux de paiement. En cas de dysfonctionnement, le redémarrage du navigateur est assuré par le module Cerbère.
Dans le cadre de déploiements important Netspot, une plate-forme d'administration en ligne, permet la gestion avancée d'un parc de plusieurs navigateurs E-Spot au moyen du module intégré: Cerbère.
Piloté à distance par un administrateur via Netspot celui-ci surveille et met à jour si nécessaire la configuration du navigateur auquel il est asssocié et assure en cas de dysfonctionnement un redémarrage du programme.
Afin de faciliter l’administration de vastes déploiements, il est possible de regrouper les points distants en différents groupes. Des tableaux de bord spécifiques intégrant des fonctions de sécurité, grâce à la gestion de profils utilisateurs, sont également disponibles. L'administrateur dispose en outre de plusieurs niveaux d’intervention visualisation/modifications lui permettant de contrôler les actions d’un groupe d’intervenants sur un parc installé hétérogène.
Un journal de suivi est généré pour chaque point distant et dans le cas d’un groupe un journal supplémentaire est alors créé. L’architecture du dispositif repose entièrement sur internet sans pour autant imposer d’adresses IP fixes ou de nom de domaines à l’exception du serveur.
Un journal permet de suivre les actions effectuées sur l’administration ainsi que les logins (fonctions réservées aux administrateurs). Un système de gestion des alarmes permet d’avertir, par e-mail automatique, d’un incident sur un terminal E-Spot d’un point distant, du montant d’argent collecté ou d’un problème d’imprimante. Diverses commandes d’extinctions, de redémarrage ou de mise à l’heure peuvent être envoyées à tous moments vers un point distant.

De l’architecture… aux bornes interactives, il n’y a semble-t-il qu’un pas, c’est celui qu’a franchi Eric Dumouchel (créateur ULTIMedia), un homme à la personnalité bouillonnante d’activités et foisonnante d’idées. Architecte et designer au palmarès impressionnant, grâce à son talent, sa formation (ENSAD et ESAG) et son énergie, il a acquis la créativité, le sens du fonctionnel et la maîtrise du process industriel. En 1987, il fonde son agence d’architecte, l’agence ED.
Passionné de nouvelles technologies et animé d’une capacité incroyable à créer et à générer des idées, il s’intéresse à "tout ce qui va de l’avant, notamment les nouvelles technologies informatiques, tout ce qui stimule l’esprit sans jamais couper les ponts avec la réalité". C’est donc tout naturellement qu’il utilise dès 1987 les technologies interactives pour présenter ses projets d’architecture ainsi que les animations 3D virtuelles hyperréalistes, qui sont à cette époque des outils précurseurs. Vers 1990 Eric Dumouchel se voit confier l’aménagement d’une unité mobile à géométrie variable contenant des premières dalles tactiles interactives. Il réalise clé en main cette unité mobile de 12 mètres de long (80 mètres carrés, déployée), sa première borne géante en quelque sorte.
Eric Dumouchel a pour règle de ne jamais séparer le fonctionnel et l’esthétisme mais de les fusionner dans l’action, pari réussi avec ULTIMedia qu’il crée en 1997.
