from ULTIMedia is fully compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer, and it provides the same services: HTML, Java,
scripts, Plug-ins, ActiveX, pop up management etc. Its numerous safety functionalities enable
it to be used safely in a general public environment (controlled Internet/intranet surfing,
obligatory application) by means of a simple and complete configuration screen.

In the event of temporary black-outs or if the operating system ''crashes,''
an ''automatic Reset'' function enables the terminal and the browser to be restarted.
Different options for customizing the user interface are available.

The parameters enable security management, but also connection media, time-out and specific
peripherals. Different options with card-reading devices (chip, magnetic, virtual, bar-code
and contact-less cards) are available and enable restricted uses to be accessed by the holders
or to be paid for in terms of duration. A solution with a coin machine or note reader is also
available.
Statistics, a history and an event file are generated by the browser, enabling the
administrator to manage different sites or locations; these can be remote-managed through
a local or remote network.

interactive terminals, the step taken by Eric Dumouchel, (Creator of ULTIMedia), a man with a
personality bubbling with activity and teeming with ideas. Architect and designer, he has an
impressive record of achievements, thanks to his talent, his training (ENSAD and ESAG) and
his energy, his creativity, his sense of what is functional and the control of the industrial
process. In 1987, he founded his agency as an architect, the ED agency.
With a passion for new technologies and encouraged by an incredible ability to create and
generate ideas, he takes an interest in 'everything that is in the forefront, especially
new computer technologies, everything that stimulates the spirit without ever cutting off ties
with reality.' It is therefore perfectly natural that he has used interactive
technologies since 1987 to present his architectural projects, together with the
hyper-realist 3D virtual animations, which at that time were pioneering tools. Around 1990
Eric Dumouchel found himself entrusted with the development of a variable-geometry mobile
unit containing the first interactive touch screens. He devised a ready-made solution for
this 12 meter-long mobile unit (80 square meters, spread out), which in a way was his first
giant terminal.
Eric Dumouchel makes a point of never separating what is functional from what is aesthetic,
but rather of blending both concepts through action, a challenge he met with ULTIMedia,
which he created in 1997. The Davos week is symbolic in the history of ULTIMedia. Some 100
terminals are arranged in the station for the spectacular brainstorming organized by the
World Economic Forum (WEF). This will be the beginning of the establishment of an
ever-increasing position worldwide.
