Netspot Server for E-Spot

. . . . Netspot Server, the web administrator from ULTIMedia . . . .

Netspot Server is a platform for the remote management of E-Spot browsers, with the help of their Cerberus integrated module. Cerberus is remotely controlled by Netspot; it manages and monitors the configuration and status of its associated browser.

This platform makes it possible to obtain regular information on the operating condition of the terminals and when necessary authorizes the remote updating of the configuration of each E-Spot.

The display of information is done through a dashboard interface available on the Internet through a standard Web browser. A change of configuration can be done from that same browser. Netspot also allows the feedback of multiple alarms from each E-Spot via Cerberus, as well as information on the status of payment terminals. In case of failure, Cerberus will restart the browser.

       ULTIMedia's Netspot Server for E-Spot
Within the framework of deployments importing Netspot, a platform of on-line administration, allows the advanced management of a park of several browsers E-Spot by means of the integrated module: Cerberus.

Remotely administrated via Netspot, this one watches and updates if needed the allocated configuration of the browser and assures, in case of dysfunction a restart of the program.
In order to facilitate the management of a large number of terminals, it is possible to consolidate remote units in groups. Dashboards are available, that incorporate specific security features managed with user profiles. The administrator controls several levels of intervention, display, or modification that allow him to control the actions of any group of operators on a heterogeneous installed base.

A trace log is generated for each remote terminal. In the case of a group, an additional log is created. The device architecture is based entirely on the Internet, without imposing fixed IP addresses or domain names, except for the server.

A log tracks the actions performed on the administration and usage (those are functions restricted to administrators). An e-mail alarm system allows warning of an incident on a distant E-Spot, of the amount of money collected, or of a printer problem. Various commands of shutdown restart or time reset may be sent at any time to a remote terminal.

About ULTIMedia / Netspot Server for E-Spot:

ULTIMedia E-Spot Software ULTIMedia AGORA Studio Software

ULTIMedia designs, manufactures and markets a global offer of interactive terminals and information screens, and offers a wide range of complementary services from the secured Internet browser to accessories dedicated to interactive technologies and other terminal application software.

In an endeavour to distance itself from its competitors, ULTIMedia bases its strategy on “the function of the object in correlation with the environment”. A unique concept that has enabled it to develop the widest range of interactive terminals in the world. Today the company offers a choice of over 70 unique, exclusive models, most of which are available in stock. Whether for indoor or outdoor use, compact or more High-Tech, the ULTIMedia interactive terminal combines design, aestheticism and quality, never losing sight of the demands of this century. If the customer fails to find his or her solution in the 70 models offered, one will be made to order, with the incomparable skills and experience of ULTIMedia.

It would seem that there is only one step from the architecture to the interactive terminals, the step taken by Eric Dumouchel, (Creator of ULTIMedia), a man with a personality bubbling with activity and teeming with ideas. Architect and designer, he has an impressive record of achievements, thanks to his talent, his training (ENSAD and ESAG) and his energy, his creativity, his sense of what is functional and the control of the industrial process. In 1987, he founded his agency as an architect, the ED agency.

ULTIMedia

With a passion for new technologies and encouraged by an incredible ability to create and generate ideas, he takes an interest in “everything that is in the forefront, especially new computer technologies, everything that stimulates the spirit without ever cutting off ties with reality”. It is therefore perfectly natural that he has used interactive technologies since 1987 to present his architectural projects, together with the hyper-realist 3D virtual animations, which at that time were pioneering tools. Around 1990 Eric Dumouchel found himself entrusted with the development of a variable-geometry mobile unit containing the first interactive touch screens. He devised a ready-made solution for this 12 meter-long mobile unit (80 square meters, spread out), which in a way was his first giant terminal.

Eric Dumouchel makes a point of never separating what is functional from what is aesthetic, but rather of blending both concepts through action, a challenge he met with ULTIMedia, which he created in 1997.

Kiosk Watchdog

Kiosk Watchdog is vital for kiosk rollouts by allowing complete remote management of your installed database. The purpose of a kiosk is to supply a service without human intervention, so it is not surprising that the biggest problem for sites and suppliers of kiosks and ATM's is breakdown! Kiosk Watchdog allows you to effectively manage any number of remote or local kiosks and respond to problems as they happen - keeping your systems operating 24/7 ALL the time!

Kiosk Watchdog is a solution giving you the ability to monitor site kiosks and minimize physical servicing needs. It comprises:

  • A combined Hardware and Software system installed on the pc inside the kiosk
  • A communication link via any IP based network (e.g. ADSL, ISDN, Leased line, Satellite, GPRS, etc)
  • Plus a unique remote monitoring facility

We have seen many alternative solutions . . . that simply do not work. The Kiosk Watchdog from Working Solutions is developed specifically for kiosk systems. We know this with over a decade of experience providing and servicing kiosks.
