2008 DIMA Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out winners announced!

14 February, 2008 - Source: PMA, LAS VEGAS, Nevada USA With 28 photo kiosks, the fifth annual DIMA® Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out was held on Wednesday, January 30, at PMA 08 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eight winners were named from four different categories by two different panels of judges, consisting of self-service experts and consumers. The four categories were: Digital Order Station Instant Print Kiosk Software Only Multi-Function Photo Kiosk

The participating kiosks were evaluated by a panel of expert judges, including Francie Mendelsohn of Summit Research Associates, Rockville, Md.; Robert Porter of Euro Kiosks Network (EKN), Madrid, Spain; and Lawrence Dvorchik of KioskCom (JD Events), Trumbull, Conn. The judges evaluated the kiosk systems using criteria such as customization, flexibility of options, reporting and other benefits important to retailers.

The kiosk systems were also judged by a panel of consumers evaluating features such as user-friendliness, ergonomics, feature set, quality of print, overall experience and more.
