MEI Now Offers USB Connectors on Two Bill Acceptors!


04 May, 2007 WEST CHESTER, PA USA -  MEI’s Series 2000 and SC Series bill acceptors are now available with optional USB interfaces, making it faster and easier for kiosk manufacturers to integrate a cash acceptor into their system. 		MEI Conlux
These USB-enabled bill acceptors allow better compatibility, easier integration and high levels of reliability with the latest PC hardware used in self-service applications. MEI provides an Application Program Interface (driver) to customers at no charge, which is available via CD ROM or downloaded from MEI’s Web site.

“Kiosk OEMs, particularly smaller companies looking for easy-to-integrate components, will appreciate USB bill acceptors for their simplicity across a broad range of kiosk applications,” said Alec Shekhar, MEI’s marketing manager for the Americas .

MEI will continue to make its Series 2000 and SC Series bill acceptors with the RS232 interface for customers who continue to use this industry standard.
