An Update on KioskCom Europe 2006 from Phil Hunter!

Anticipation is growing as we near the inaugural kiosk and self service expo. The KioskCom Europe Exhibition is set to take place in London on 8th and 9th November. We recently spent time with KioskCom Europe's Managing Director, Phil Hunter, to learn more about the premier European event and provide a progress report for our Viewers.
EKN: "Phil, when we last met up; you eluded that you anticipated hitting your forecast even in your freshmen year. We know you have made steady progress. How is it looking now?" Phil: "Well, we were very encouraged at the reaction we got at KioskCom Las Vegas in April. Since then the interest has continued to grow. We are finalizing several contracts right now and have over 42 exhibitors committed, so I'm confident we will reach or exceed our 2007 goal."
EKN: "Who are some of the names of exhibiting companies that people will recognise?" Phil: "ULTIMedia from Herblay France is providing support as the Silver Sponsor.
We are enthusiastic that Eric Dumouchel, founder of ULTIMedia views our event as a great opportunity and appreciate his leadership role. In addition, we recently have had other recognisable companies like Hitachi, Fujitsu and Star Micronics sign up to the show."
EKN: "In our last Question and Answer Segment you mentioned that the conference was an important element of the exhibition. We recently spoke with Amanda Crabbe, Conference Director for KioskCom Europe, who was pleased with the great people and wide variety of subjects to be covered at the Conference. How has that been developing?" Phil: "We are optimistic about the Conference and see it as a critical factor for the success of the exposition. The quality is going to be top shelf with IBM as Conference Sponsor! The programme is now complete. We are pleased with our Speaker line-up and will be providing insightful, meaningful, and most of all, educational sessions."
EKN: "Phil, that is outstanding! Can you give us some examples of where the presenters are from?" Phil: "Well, we've got speakers from all over Europe including Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and London City Airport. We have John Butt, Trading Manager of the big home improvement chain of stores B&Q. Also, we will have speakers representing Polo Ralph Lauren and The Eurostar Group. So it's going to be a really interesting programme!"
EKN: "It looks like everything is on track for a great exhibition. How is the visitor marketing coming along?" Phil: "We've made an encouraging start here. We are looking to attract between 500 and 700 visitors and we've had around 200 registrations already. People interested in attending can simply follow the link below to our website."
"The main activity is just about to start now that the summer holidays are over. You'll see that we've taken quite a few sponsored links through Google. We are now advertising and leafleting in the key press right through to the show. In addition, our first wave of direct mail lands on 12th September and we will be doing ongoing email blasts and continue to provide updates through EKN to keep everybody informed."
