S3TP Launched at KioskCom.com in Las Vegas!
20 April, 2005 - LAS VEGAS NEVADA, USA --In what could be a historic moment in kiosk industry history, KioskCom.com announced the formation of The Society for Self-Service Technology Professionals, a new trade organization designed to educate and inform deployers and end-users.
After the announcement, Dvorchik said he received plenty of positive feedback from KioskCom.com 2005 attendees, all of whom were offered complimentary lifetime membership in the organization.

“It will be a great opportunity for deployers to exchange ideas without being sold anything,” he said.
“People have said the Society is needed to look after the education and welfare of the members and not focused on selling something to them. We want to develop an educational culture.”

Among the benefits for members is a monthly newsletter, access to exclusive Web site content, discounts on attendance at S3TP events and access to industry research. Among the upcoming events are a Summit focused on e-Payments and e-Billing in New Orleans in June and a Technology Summit in September at a location to be announced.
"The first day of KioskCom.com was a success," Dvorchik said, "with a record attendance expected for the show and 125 exhibitors on the show floor." The highlight of Tuesday’s schedule is the annual Interactive Kiosk Excellence Awards, hosted by former CNN anchor Bob Losure.
