CyberD UK installs New Opti-Wall Kiosk at the
Milton Keynes Shopping Centre!

08 September, 2004, UK -  CyberD(UK).com Ltd in partnership with Rittal Ltd have installed the latest in eCustomer Service Solutions at the Centre:mk, the UK's largest shopping complex. This kiosk aids its customer support team at their desk by offering up to the minute information.

The client end of the solution allows visitors to the centre to access information about the centre and its services as well as many other local service internet portals. Users can find train and bus times, local restaurants, cinemas, theatres, hotels, jobs and housing. This is all touch screen driven using large scale buttons ideal for users with physical disabilities. The system also has the facility to read the content of the web pages displayed for those users with visual impairment.

The Opti-Wall installed between two standard payphones to create a complete eCustomer service solution.

Acting as technology consultants and solution designers, CyberD created a XK browser that offers the centre a complete client and administration solution.

The administration tools developed allow the centre to carry out detailed analysis of the kiosk's usage from a database solution which allows the administrators to devise their own SQL queries with our Query Wizard.

The system utilizes existing web technologies to transmit usage data so that infrastructure costs are kept to a minimum, the administrator can fetch the latest logs from the net and is warned if data has already been collected to prevent overwriting and duplication of records. The data can be sorted and graphs created from the query results, these results can also be exported to Microsoft®Excel spreadsheets for easy distribution to marketing teams and other departments within the organization.
