DED announces launch of New Intelligent TUP900 Modular Kiosk Printer!

DED Limited, the Kent-based Distributor, is pleased to announce the launch and immediate
availability of the new intelligent - and very different - TUP900 Series modular kiosk printer
from Star Micronics, which will add to the extensive range of packaged printers and mechanisms
already used in many kiosk solutions throughout Europe.
So what's the big difference? The TUP900 differs from the other Star kiosk printers in that it
is available in modular units to allow Kiosk Builders ultimate design flexibility - the
printing modules can literally be tailored to the individual kiosk design.
TUP900 will print barcodes, tickets, labels and receipts on stock up to 150 gsm as well
as automatically scale A4 output onto 112 mm wide paper at a print speed of up to 150 mm per
second. A highly reliable paper presenter ensures jam-free operation and can even retract
untaken tickets back inside the kiosk. This complete flexibility makes it ideal for a number
of kiosk applications, including web pages, receipts, ticketing, information pages, maps,etc.
And the other big difference? Well, this printer is so intelligent that, fitted with an
optional Ethernet Interface, it will even send an e-mail to a remote Engineer to notify
him of 'paper low' or 'error' situations before they become a problem.
