NeoProducts completes delivery of JOBPOINT Kiosks
for Employment Services!

24 April, 2002 -  Leading kiosk manufacturer, NeoProducts (UK) has announced that the company has completed delivery of over 9,000 advanced touchscreen kiosk systems for the British Government's flagship Employment Services (ES) Jobpoint project.

The Jobpoint kiosks, manufactured at NeoProducts' UK plant in Kings Norton, Birmingham, have been installed by the Employment Services' IT partner EDS in over 1,000 of Britain's Jobcentres and replace the traditional rows of cards on display boards showing local job opportunities. In all, the total of 9,000 networked high tech kiosks are making life easier for Britain's job seekers by enabling them to search not only local opportunities but also access every Jobcentre vacancy in the country - currently some 300,000 jobs in all. Unlike traditional display boards, the Jobpoints are updated instantly from the national job bank and will ultimately also include third party, European and international vacancies.

The Jobpoint system represents the world's largest government kiosk network and has been hailed as a major British Government innovation. Part of the UK Government's Modernising ES programme, the Jobpoint installation received further recognition with two prestigious awards last year: Government Computing magazine's "Innovation Award for Services to the Citizen" and Computing's Awards for Excellence, Most Innovative e-business Project category.

The Jobpoint touchscreen kiosks at the British Jobcentres are the latest in a long line of high profile government installations worldwide for NeoProducts. The company has previously provided 2,600 similar terminals in Australian Job Search offices and has also delivered award winning kiosks to the Hong Kong government for its Electronic Service Delivery project. These kiosks provide easy access to services from over 20 different government agencies as part of the HK government's Digital 21 Information Technology strategy.

NeoProducts has, in the last 10 years, sold over 30,000 touchscreen terminals. Last year, the company acquired UK-based LGC Associates to strengthen its European sales and development operations. ISO 9001 accredited, the company serves a wide range of clients from a variety of industries including government - both national and local - telecommunications, retail, leisure and entertainment, travel and ticketing and financial.
