Elo TouchSystems Announces New Controller Chip
for its AccouTouch Five-Wire Resistive TouchScreens!
Smaller, Lower-Power Chip Ideal for Portable and Embedded Applications!

Elo TouchSystems, Inc.,
the global leader in touch technology and a unit of Tyco Electronics, today announces the
availability of a new smaller, lower-power controller chip for its popular, proven AccuTouch
five-wire resistive touch technology. The new COACh IIs (Controller On A Chip) operates at
both 3.3 V and 5 V, and is packaged within a small footprint of 12.15 mm x 12.15 mm. Elo's
COACh IIs incorporates a power-down mode in which power consumption can be reduced by as
much as 95%. The compact size, lower operating voltage and reduced power consumption of the
new COACh IIs, and Elo's AccuTouch five-wire resistive touch technology make the best solution
for OEMs who have been looking for stability, reliability and performance of the touch
components for the portable and embedded applications. The COACh IIs is also fully compatible
with Elo's SmartSet protocol and all Elo's standard drivers.
